The "Hayati Ladia" Folklore Museum welcomes you for another year in its courtyard, with the established Summer events, which showcase and strengthen local creation but also mark the completion of another year's activities.
On Wednesday, August 9, folk songs from the wider region of Pangeo will be presented - important monuments of popular culture, gathered by Vasiliki Ladia in the context of Ioannis Kioridis' wider research on folk song. These rare songs will be performed by Christos Kallinis, Costas Varitis, Costas Proklos, Panagiota Dimitriou, who saved them and continue to sing them today. An evening dedicated to the Pangaiorites song with the guitar of Vassilis Vellikis and the violin of Haris Tsipouridis.
On Thursday, August 10, the photographer Spyros Markoyannis will take us on a journey to Santorini through his photographs, which are hosted at the Hayati Ladia Folklore Museum as part of the periodic exhibition "Santorini the island of scorched earth". Santorini will be the first stop for the photographic journey that will follow in Greek cities, under the general title "Greece: Culture-Tourism". In addition, on the days of the events, the photographic works of the participants of the action "Photographic Walk in Proti" will be presented, which was carried out to complete the first cycle of practical mobile photography workshops, where Spyros Markoyannis shared practical secrets with the audience.
On Saturday, August 12, the author Leonidas Galanis invites the public to a different, enjoyable interactive presentation of his book "Ethos-Passion-Logos, the ancient secret of success". An adventure through time and into the lives of great and not-so-great ... personalities ... reveals the "secret" that was hidden in a book of rhetoric!
On Sunday, August 13, the Theater Group of the Podochori Cultural Association "Red Thread" presents the play "Plutos" by Aristophanes. Through a symbolic condition, Aristophanes scorches the bad texts of his time and becomes more relevant than ever.
